Corinne Evans has been surfing since a young age and has always been a fan of the sport. Over the years, as a professional she has signed with a number of sports and lifestyle brands including Animal. Due to her love of the water sport, Corinne now teaches other women of all ages how to surf on her Surf Tour. Corinne originally promoted her school through her personal website, but decided the two needed to be separated. As well as her school, Corinne also supports and promotes the Keep A Breast Foundation UK through small festivals, which she runs each summer.
Corinne promotes herself a great deal on social media, so this was an important factor in the design and build of the website. Corinne’s Surf Tour provides all the information her students need to know about learning to surf. Events are organised by location and students can book online from the selection of available dates. The original plan was to take bookings and payments on the website, but Corinne and I remove the booking and eCommerce side of the site and direct customers to her Eventbrite pages which are set up for each of her events. This meant the website no longer required any additional software that could slow the site or make it look untidy. Furthermore, this meant no additional costs or administration was required on managing payments and events directly from the website.
With excellent photography and a minimalistic logo, the website definitely captures the Cornish surf vibe, as well as using modern and stylish design across the whole website.
